This is the conception song of the album and first lyrical song I've ever made under this alias. For years I've wanted to write about how fluid and ever changing my life's been, and how major events which made me homeless (quite literally transient) and the people that led to that or helped me survive changed who I am as a person into the woman I am today.
lyrics
I tried my hardest to get through to you
All the reasons I've been gone
I wasn't sure if you could make it up
But now I know I can go on
And though it feels like I've been drifting through
I'm stronger now and I give thanks to you
'Cause you pushed me when I thought I would fall
Now I tell myself how to get through it all
Hold the line, keep on moving
You've come this far so you can't stop now
Work it out, flow like water
Don't forget all things are transient
You just don't understand how much it means
You don't know you set me free
Feels like I could give you the universe
It wouldn't be enough to me
And though it feels like I've been drifting through
I'm stronger now and I give thanks to you
'Cause you pushed me when I thought I would fall
Now I tell myself how to get through it all
Hold the line, keep on moving
You've come this far so you can't stop now
Work it out, flow like water
Don't forget all things are transient
It's kinda funny how things go
You might sink under but you know
That it's day to day and you will carry on for everybody
I wish the very best for you
And though it feels like I've been drifting through
I'm stronger now and I give thanks to you
'Cause you pushed me when I thought I would fall
Now I tell myself how to get through it all
Hold the line, keep on moving
You've come this far so you can't stop now
Work it out, flow like water
Don't forget all things are transient
This whole album has a really vivacious sound to it, filled with syncopation and cool time signatures, tuned and untuned percussion that hits really nicely. Great to just sit back and chill to. Striata
One day I came across this title on YouTube and it intrigued me. The nostalgy hit me so much that I went back on IRC in 2019. Thanks to that, I met my girlfriend after being single for 15 years, and moved to a new town 6 hours away from me. All of that because of a click on that song.
Music has the power to change people's life and this track is my personal proof of that fact. swipesomething
I think the most comfort I've felt in this life was being fifteen and playing this game at 2am. Words cannot describe how much this game meant to me caracalled
