This track happened as a result of a burst of creative energy after getting out of a bad relationship. It wasn't just cathartic, either, I've known too many people who end up in that sort of situation and I felt that this song would provide some relief. It's also a good summary of the general sound on this album.
lyrics
You came and knocked me off my feet and I was hypnotised
I didn't ever think that it could go so wrong
And yeah I guess it was short sighted to believe you'd gotten better
but imperfection's only human after all
And now I'm breaking free from all the hurt you bring
I won't back down anymore
It's to time to make things right, it's time to thrive in spite
You have no power over me
Just watch me fly
Just watch me fly
I gave you so many more chances than you should've had
to try and stop acting like such a spoiled child
But everybody's got their limits and you just don't give a damn
so have fun ending up alone and miserable
And now I'm breaking free from all the hurt you bring
I won't back down anymore
It's to time to make things right, it's time to thrive in spite
You have no power over me
Just watch me fly
Just watch me fly
I was devastated
Felt like I was dying but the truth is now I'm free
All the weight you put on me has melted off
You could have grown but you chose to drag me down
Turns out I found in the end we both needed getting over you
Just watch me fly
Just watch me fly
Just watch me fly
Just watch me fly
This whole album has a really vivacious sound to it, filled with syncopation and cool time signatures, tuned and untuned percussion that hits really nicely. Great to just sit back and chill to. Striata

One day I came across this title on YouTube and it intrigued me. The nostalgy hit me so much that I went back on IRC in 2019. Thanks to that, I met my girlfriend after being single for 15 years, and moved to a new town 6 hours away from me. All of that because of a click on that song.
Music has the power to change people's life and this track is my personal proof of that fact. swipesomething

I think the most comfort I've felt in this life was being fifteen and playing this game at 2am. Words cannot describe how much this game meant to me caracalled
